Hydro Shield will get your boat on plane faster, allowing you to remain on plane at lower speeds and rpm's. It also improves handling and lowers your fuel burn at low and cruising RPM settings. Hydro-Shield will also protect your propeller from damage due to underwater impacts, and its 316th's marine grade stainless steel bracket system acts as a skeg guard, strengthening and reinforcing the skeg.
Made from an energy-absorbing plastic compound, Hydro Shield can withstand impacts, natural or man-made. Even if your boat strikes natural hazards like rocks, coral, oyster beds, or sandbars, or man-made hazards like lobster and crab pots, Hydro Shield maintains its integrity and protects your prop and skeg.

I watched a video on installation . It was very helpful . I installed it by myself ,another person would have made it easier. Before I ordered it I contacted the manufacturer to make sure I got the right one for my boat . The representative I interacted with was very helpful.
I haven’t had the chance to get out on the lake yet but it looks great and I’m hoping it will protect my lower end. My buddy in Ohio says it’s a great idea and looks like it will do the job. Pop
Quickly noticed on the first ride after installation that the boat was quicker to plane and steady when there.
My second Hydro Shield and i am buying another one for my ofher boat. They bolt on fast and it works to protect your prop. I do get on plane quicker. But its hard to tell with a Yacht if i am getting better fuel economy,
I owne a Azure az240 in has a volvo penta with 300 hp and boat has always been slow out of the hole
Installed this unit and definitely help it out, now it's about half the time it took before and don't feel it hurt to pending at all
