Hydro Shield will get your boat on plane faster, allowing you to remain on plane at lower speeds and rpm's. It also improves handling and lowers your fuel burn at low and cruising RPM settings. Hydro-Shield will also protect your propeller from damage due to underwater impacts, and its 316th's marine grade stainless steel bracket system acts as a skeg guard, strengthening and reinforcing the skeg.

Made from an energy-absorbing plastic compound, Hydro Shield can withstand impacts, natural or man-made. Even if your boat strikes natural hazards like rocks, coral, oyster beds, or sandbars, or man-made hazards like lobster and crab pots, Hydro Shield maintains its integrity and protects your prop and skeg.

Product is good Instructions are horrible.

This product works fantastic but the instructions are vague. For example. The 1/2 in drop you show a ruler in the picture is the to mean you want a 1/2 in drop over a 12 inch span? These things are not second nature.

Just installed a new motor. Between the new motor and the hydro shield I can’t provide an opinion because both are new.

Good prop protection, poor performance

I carefully installed the Hydro-Shield, verifying the measurement were correct per the instructions. I even spoke with Dale with questions I had. He was great to speak to and work with. I like that it protects the propeller, but I don't like its performance and ended up removing it. Too bad it didn't work on my boat, but their customer service deserves all 5 stars!

As Advertised!

22 Ft. Sundance with 140. Amazed how much faster i leveled out! Also provided great protection for the prop going through the shallow marsh area we fish around!! Excellent product.
