Hydro Shield will get your boat on plane faster, allowing you to remain on plane at lower speeds and rpm's. It also improves handling and lowers your fuel burn at low and cruising RPM settings. Hydro-Shield will also protect your propeller from damage due to underwater impacts, and its 316th's marine grade stainless steel bracket system acts as a skeg guard, strengthening and reinforcing the skeg.
Made from an energy-absorbing plastic compound, Hydro Shield can withstand impacts, natural or man-made. Even if your boat strikes natural hazards like rocks, coral, oyster beds, or sandbars, or man-made hazards like lobster and crab pots, Hydro Shield maintains its integrity and protects your prop and skeg.

Easy install and works great. Have one on both of my boats. Work great.
Friday the 12th was the first trip out with it on. All I can say is WOW. I have a 18ft bass buggy pontoon and it planed down at a very low speed. My friend was with me and he was very surprised that it planed out at such a low speed!
Didn’t notice any speed difference but the gas mileage has to be higher.
I highly recommend this product!
Also, I live in lower Alabama and there is a lot of very low water so this should help protect my prop!
I ordered my hydro shield and it came 4 days later to Iceland, it works very well my 5,3m rubber boat is faster on plan and gives the boat 2 extra miles so I am very happy. Thank you

The boat planned almost immediately. Even the reverse is smoother. Yes, she lost a little of top end speed but I rather to have the control that I have now
